Effective from April 21, 2016.
We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of the personally identifiable information you provide to us in connection with your use of the websites, services, products, promotions, mobile applications, and software applications owned, managed or provided to you by us or on behalf of us (collectively, the “Sites“). We may provide some of these services, products, and promotions through the websites, mobile applications, or software applications of our clients, advertisers, service providers and other affiliates (collectively “Affiliates”).
3. What Information Do We Collect?
(a) Information You Provide
If you choose to participate in certain activities offered on the Sites (such as surveys and grocery list building and sharing, registering an account or payment card, or posting user-generated content), we may ask you to provide us with what is generally called “personally identifiable” information (such as your name, email address, postal mailing address, telephone number, payment card information). In addition, you may have the option of providing us with certain demographic information about yourself or your household (such as age, gender, household income, interests, zip code, and state).
From time to time, we may sponsor sweepstakes, contests, other promotions or surveys. Personally identifiable information may be required as a condition of participation for purposes of verifying entrants’ identities, notifying winners and fulfilling prizes. We will not use or disclose any such information beyond the particular sweepstakes, contest, or other promotion in which you are participating unless we receive your consent to do so. If we engage a third party to assist us in administering a promotion or fulfilling prizes, this information will be disclosed to that third party.
(b) Information We Collect As You Access and Use Our Services
When you use the Sites, open one of our emails, or interact with our products, promotions, and services on our Affiliates’ sites, we may use technology (including web beacons and cookies, pixel tags, unique device IDs, user IDs, and log files) to automatically collect information including:
Account activity (such as requesting, printing, and saving to an account or a linked payment card);
Application activity (such as searches performed and features accessed);
Web browser type and other device attributes;
The website that referred you;
The web pages you viewed;
Your IP address;
The advertisements you viewed and clicked;
The dates and times that you visited or used the Sites;
Location information; and
Advertising identifier associated with your mobile device.
Cookies. When you visit a Site, we may store one or more cookies or other similar information (i.e., a string of alphanumeric characters or small text file that includes information regarding a coupon that you identified, data for a recipe or menu item that you selected, or other information that relates to your use of our Sites) on your device. We use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Sites. These persistent cookies can be removed, but each web browser is a little different. Please review your browser’s Help menu to learn how to modify your cookies setup and how to manage your cookies. Our Sites may also use web beacons (also known as clear gifs or pixel tags), which are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that are placed in the code of a webpage.
Log files. As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We may use this information, alone or in combination with other information, to manage and operate our products and services, to offer you more personalized content and advertising, and for the other purposes described in Section 4 below.
(c) Information You Provide About a Third Party
If you choose to use our referral service to tell someone else about our Sites, we will ask you for that person’s name and email address. We will use the information you provide to automatically send to that person an email inviting him or her to the Sites you recommended. We do not share this email with any third party. They may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request that we remove this information from our database.
4. How We Use Your Information
We may use information that we collect from your use of the Sites, any information you provide when you register with us, and information provided to us by third parties as follows:
Operate, maintain, deliver, and communicate with you about the coupons, advertisements, content, and promotional offerings found on and off our Sites;
Process and record coupon requesting and redemption activity;
Manage and store shopping lists;
Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns;
Aggregate usage metrics (such as total number of visitors to the Sites and pages viewed, application usage and downloads, and interaction with advertisements);
Understand usage trends and preferences;
Improve the way the Sites work and look;
Improve our marketing and promotional efforts;
Provide you with a personalized experience on and off the Sites (such as recognizing your system so that you will not have to re-enter information during your current or future visit to the Sites) by using information internally;
Provide you with custom, personalized coupon promotions and advertisements on and off our Sites;
Create new features and functionality;
Anonymize and aggregate information for different purposes, such as website traffic flow analysis, market analysis, and to deliver relevant advertising and information, e.g., based on click stream data;
For non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as customer service purposes);
Combine information you provide or we obtain through use of the Sites with other information, including information obtained from third parties;
Use the device information to provide targeted ads to you based on your use of the Sites (e.g., based on your printing and redemption activity).
5. When We Share Information
We may work with Affiliates and other companies to operate, maintain, deliver, and communicate with you about the coupons, advertisements, content, and promotional offerings found on and off our Sites, including to provide personalized coupons, advertisements and other content. In such circumstances, those companies will have access to the information needed to provide the applicable service, but they will not be permitted to use the information for any other purpose. For example, we may need to transmit personally identifiable information to a payment processor or other service provider in connection with your use of one of our services. As another example, we share a unique identifier with Affiliates and partners to enable your use of products and services obtained through our Sites.
In addition, we may share information as described below.
(a) Personally Identifiable Information
We may share personally identifiable information with our Affiliates or other third-parties with your consent or as part of a specific program or feature in which you have chosen to participate, in which case we authorize those Affiliates or third parties to use your personally identifiable information in connection with the specific program or feature. For example, we offer coupons on our Sites that require you to fill out an advertiser survey in order to receive the coupon. If you choose to participate in the survey, then we will share the information you provide with the advertiser who provided the survey. As another example, you may be given the option to register with the website of one of our Affiliates, or sign up for an Affiliate’s newsletter. If we manage the website for the Affiliate and you choose to register or sign up with that Affiliate, then we will share the information you provide with that Affiliate. In addition, we may use your personally identifiable information for the purpose of obtaining associated non-personally identifiable information from third parties, but we do not permit those third parties to use your personally identifiable information for any purpose other than providing us with associated non-personally identifiable information, including cookies.
(b) Non-Personally Identifiable Information
We may share non-personally identifiable information (such as age, gender, household income, interests, zip code, state, coupon activation and redemption data, purchase data and other automatically collected information that does not personally identify you) with our Affiliates and third parties for marketing and promotional use. An Affiliate or third party may match the non-personally identifiable information we provide with personally or non-personally identifiable information you have previously provided to that party, or other information that party has obtained. For instance, if you have signed up for an account from one of our Affiliates, such as a grocery retailer, and request that our coupon be saved to that account, we will provide the Affiliate with the coupon and other information necessary to fulfill your request. The Affiliate may then match the information with your account which may contain your personally identifiable information.
In addition, we may aggregate non-personally identifiable information and share such aggregated information with our Affiliates and third parties; we may also share such aggregated information publicly to provide information about general use of our services. We may also share such non-personally identifiable information with our Affiliates when you interact with our promotional content on their websites.
We may share information about you if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with local, state, or federal laws or to respond to a court order, judicial or other governmental subpoena or warrant, or in the event of bankruptcy proceedings. We also reserve the right to share information that we believe, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to take precautions against liability, protect us or our Affiliates from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses, investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, assist government enforcement agencies, protect the security or integrity of the Sites, and to protect our rights, property, or safety and those of our Affiliates and others.
In the event that we are acquired by or merged with a third-party entity, we reserve the right, in any of these circumstances, to transfer or assign the information we have collected from you as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personally identifiable information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personally identifiable information.

10. Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy

For that reason, we do not knowingly collect or maintain information from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of our Sites is structured to attract anyone under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use or access the Sites at any time or in any manner.
